WordPress 2.1 is out of testing….i’ll try to install this thing..Maybe some plugins or something won’t work anymore, i’ll try to make it as better as possible..wish me luck…It will be down for maintenance..

[update]: Done. WordPress 2.1 up and running..

Well..after years and lots of pink…hostme just got better. As i saw it, has some problems with the interface, something about the menus, but wtf…this time has more that 1-2 pics on it..so check it out, the new hostme.ro..

PS: i know the admin/boss of that site will check the statistics for that site and will see that some of them maybe got on his page from here. Now…say “thanks!”..

Well…i’ve just read some news on security focus that said myspace will provide some free software for the parents of the users (especially children) from which they can monitor any changes made to the profile and probably modify the profile…They made this step after the lawsuit against them, filled by a women and her daughter that were assaulted my some dude that the lil girl met on myspace. The incident with the 14 years old kid made News Corp., the owner of myspace, to support creation of a sex offender database that will include online identities of criminals, stalkers and all that.

Another interesting story was about Oracle, who just released 51 updates for their database software and some other enterprise products. The update includes 28 fixes for Oracle database server and the rest for other products. And, not all of them are security fixes. Some of them are just upgrades for interoperability. But, network and database administrators are urged to apply latest updates since Secunia, a webpage where you can see all flaws discovered in most softwares on the market, including open source products, marked some of the security flaws as “highly critical”.

Recently a bug in certain versions of PHP came to our attention that could cause a security vulnerability in your blog. We’re able to work around it fairly easily, so we’ve decided to release 2.0.7 to fix the PHP security problem and the Feedburner issue that was in 2.0.6.

[update]: ..and safer…just upgraded to version 2.0.6. Bloggers using custom wordpress platform (not xxx.wordpress.com) should upgrade asap, as they found some vulnerabilities on wordpress 2.0.5 and earlier versions.
